Baby update

Obviously I haven't been very good at updating my blog recently. I have no Christmas pictures, or even mention of Christmas activities yet. Heck, I haven't even changed my background! Hopefully, with the amount of sitting I will be doing for the next bit, I will be able to get that done. With all that said, I thought I should give a baby update since I went for my first weekly visit yesterday. At my last visit, the doctor told me she wasn't going to check me until 38 weeks, which was fine with me because that is one of the least pleasant experiences ever. However, over the weekend, I started experiencing some symptoms that made me want to have her check. When I went in for the appointment, she listened to Carter's heart and then measured me. It was then that she decided that she needed to check, because I wasn't measuring correctly. To both of our surprise, Miss Carter had dropped into my pelvis (which I actually suspected), I am dilated to a 2 and 75% effaced, AND she thinks she weighs about 7 pounds! I don't think I'm having her anytime soon, as I was 100% effaced and dilated to a 2 with Jordan for 2 weeks before I had her, but I didn't start off at a 2. We are keeping our fingers crossed that she decides she likes her home for at least 2 1/2 more weeks. If she will just make it to February, I will be happy! (Of course, I will be happy if she decides to introduce herself early too!)
