A new blog

I've thought for a long time about writing down all my experiences as a coach's wife. I never really knew how to start, or when I would have time for that matter, but last night I decided I would start a blog. My thinking is that some people would just be curious what would possess someone to marry a coach, or why someone would go into coaching. I hope that I can answer some of those question and tell some great stories along the way.

Well, softball season has officially started in the Wommack house. Once games started, we were only going to have practice once a week, BUT this week we had two games and one practice, with one practice coming on Sunday. All of this, on top of dance for an hour on Thursdays before the softball game. Talk about a tired girl. On the plus side, Carter manages to sleep all night on game nights, so I'm loving that! We lost our first two games; the first game was close (hence the practice the next day to work on fielding the ball) and the second game was not so close, but in our defense all the girls are already nine and have been playing together for 3 years. It's amazing how much bigger nine year olds are compared to eight year olds! Maybe our luck will change this week.

Two beautiful girls!

Our first Easter with two beautiful daughters. Both girls loved their Easter gifts. Jordan got a mini laptop and Carter got a portable swing. After trying out their new gifts, we went to church in our new dresses. I think I had the most beautiful girls there. I wish that I could get a picture when Carter smiles, but that may be impossible. Just as impossible is getting Jordan to give a genuine smile. She has the goofiest fake smile that I can't get rid of! I hope this faze is almost over.

I am so lucky because Jordan loves spending time with her grandparents. She loves going to Grammy and Grandpa's to play and swim and ride in the "buggy". She loves going to Marmoo and PaLee's because she can feed the cows and sew. She is really into sewing, so when we found out Carter was on the way she asked Marmoo if she could make a quilt. So back in July, Jordan and Marmoo started working on a quilt for the baby. She finally finished her quilt Friday and was able to give it to Carter. I am so proud of her! She did a great job and Carter loves looking at all the colors. Now that she's done, she already planning her next quilt! Grandpa loved it so much, he asked if she could make a big one for him.
